Guy selling books on Commercial Drive
Last weekend, I wrote a blog post about buying a cheap science fiction paperback (Destiny Doll by Clifford D. Simak) off a guy selling books outside my neighbourhood liquor store. The guy had a huge selection of SF paperbacks and I regretted not taking a photo then. So yesterday the same dude – I think his name is Ritchie – had his wares out once again so I snapped these pics.
I kind of love that the books are outside of the liquor store. And wow, he has a huge selection.
Yeah, he’s usually there on weekends. Quite the scene outside the liquor store – there’s usually at least one busker as well, and on Friday night a girls’ soccer team was selling chocolate-covered almonds!
Wow, it sounds like the place to be! I’d love to get a bottle of wine, some chocolate covered almonds, and a good book. What a perfect combination!
