1973 movie based on Guido Crepax comic strip released on Blu-ray

I’d never heard of this 1973 movie before coming across an item in the Feb 26 Sunday New York Times. But a mini-review for a recent Blue Underground Blu-Ray re-release of Baba Yaga caught my eye – particularly the part about it being based on a comic strip by Guido Crepax!

I’m not the biggest fan of Crepax, best known for his erotic comics like Valentina and The Story of O – I find his women too angular to be sexy. But I’m always curious about obscure European movies based on obscure European comic strips (a la Barbarella and Danger Diabolik) and this one certainly looks stylish. I doubt I’ll shell out the $29.99 for the Blu-Ray, but hopefully my local video store will get a copy. Black Dog?
